Papertrey Ink Goodness

Have you had a chance to check out the CPS blog this week? Papertrey Ink sponsored us and sent us the yummiest stamps and cardstock to play with. I had a blast making some cards up. I'm always drawn to the bright happy colors, so I made two with the funky pinks and oranges. But I went out of my comfort zone and make one in pale blue and green as well. Love the way this cardstock takes ink from the stamps--so perfect.

Here's the one I did for the Blog.

My soft blues.

A sweet baby bunny.

Have a wonderful night--off to watch a movie with my hubby while the kiddos are asleep!

Thank You Mellypea!!

Melanie (Mellypea) from 2peas asked my to participate in their Pea Profile program. I was so excited to get that email! They sent me a couple products to work with and asked me to make some projects. I got red Maya Mist, A year to Remember clear calendars, and Maya Road Damask chipboard. I had so much fun with them and got to use bright funky colors.

LOVE this Thank you card--isn't that paper so awesome!!? Used acrylic paints on the chipboard along with the Maya Mist. Before the paint dried I added glitter to them to give it a little sparkle!

100% girly girl--that's my little niece Kenzie. Took that picture a year ago. I loved that aqua jacket she was wearing in the picture so I tried to match it with some funky lime greens and fuschias. Loved how it turned out!

I'm going to make a ton of these birthday cards. Those clear calendars are really fun to work with and the tin comes with 12 styles. Also used the chipboard damask on here as well!
Thanks again 2peas!! This was so fun!!

Have a wonderful day--filled with paint and glitter! :)

You've GOT to be kidding.

Landen just took a head dive into the cabinet... AGAIN. Now he has twin bumps on both sides of his forehead. I should just stay out of the public eye--someone's going to think I'm beating my children. Hopefully his walking will get a little less wobbly in the coming weeks. Then I can leave my house. LOL

So I have a ton of Valentine's embellishments that I never used and now I'm trying to be creative and come up with ways to use them in a non-lovey dovey way. Here's one I made for a birthday card. What do you think??

And I'll remind myself never to use a pink background again. The pictures just weren't as sharp with it.

Hope you have a super duper day!!

Bumps and Boo Boo's

Landen seems to always fall and hit his head right on the corner of the door or a cupboard every day. Not kidding. The kid is a human magnet for giant goose eggs. And it's not just him either--Logan got a black eye this past week when he ran to jump on our banana chair and slammed his face into the wood frame. Yea, the chair won that fight. Here's a wonderful picture of Landen's fall this evening-- right into the kitchen cupboards. Isn't it lovely?? Poor kid. It's gotta just be throbbing!!

I've been lucky enough to get a little time to scrap this weekend, usually I don't. So I have a couple things for you.

So I saw this idea on the Hero Arts Flikr and just fell in love with it. I feel bad, because it was quite a while ago that I saw it and now I can't remember who I got it from. But here's my twist on it. Happy birthday cards two ways--one for a boy and one for a girl!

Off to watch Ultimate Recipe Showdown. Anyone else into it??? I get so absorbed!

Sob. Sob.

They left. My mom and sister packed up and left this morning. It was a really fun week and I'm so glad that they got to come. Always hard when they have to go though!!

I am excited to get some more scrappy things done. Didn't do much while my family was here, getting that creative itch in my fingers!! :)

I've got a couple of things to share tonight before I dive into my paper!

Isn't that Robot by Hero Arts just the funnest thing you've seen in a while?? I think I'm going to make dozens of boy birthday cards!! Logan just loves it!

Thank you for your sweet sweet comments--they always make my day!!

Guitar Hero, Ginger Chicken Delight, and Flannel

Pretty much sums up my day with my sister and mother.

Logan has been begging to play Guitar Hero (which my sister brought with her) all day long--I finally let him play--which means I gave him a guitar which wasn't hooked up and I played with the other one! haha he doesn't know the difference! Mom's in the kitchen whipping up a batch of Ginger Chicken Delight--my grandmother's recipe. Can't wait to dive in! YUM

Hopefully, if I get a chance, I'll be making a dozen burp cloths and bibs for my new little niece. Just came home from Joann's with some flannel. Pink and brown--so cute!!

Here's some more cards from the Addicted Scrappers kit this month--aren't those colors fabulous??? Just love them!

Fixin' up some dessert tonight? Hope so--we're having cheesecake!!

streamers and balloons

Just got done putting them all up. Landen's 1st birthday is tomorrow--really hard to believe that I had him a year ago. Where does time go? I hope we have a wonderful day and that I only shed a few tears!

Okay, so I've been a major slacker at posting my projects, so here's an armful for ya!! I had fun this past week in my little scrap room, working with some fun new stuff.

A little out of place for this time of year, but oh, well!!

I'm so happy to be Guest Designing over at Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking this month! They have a store FULL of fun goodies--go check out the prima flowers!! I was asked to come up with a challenge, and knowing me, I did a Card challenge. The challenge was to use ribbon in a new and non-traditional way. If you have a chance, come play along! Here's my take on it:
Off to finish up some work and get some sleep before I run around like crazy tomorrow!!

To the Core!

WOW, really Kandis? I'm such a BAD blogger!! I guess it could be worse... but not by much. LOL

I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with lots of hugs and cuddles from the little guys! Brandon and I watched a couple of movies, one good and one not-so-good on our new TV. Kind of un-eventful, but much needed.

I have SO SO much fun with these Coredinations papers, if you haven't tried them, GET SOME! They are the funnest paper to work with! They even came out with a White Wash collection for CHA--waiting to get my little hands on it! Here's my projects for the month.

Off to make some cards tonight--they're calling my name!!

A cut above the rest

I've really been trying hard to keep up on my Project 365--yes, though, I have missed some days. I think I'll just have to make them up in the end, go a couple extra days. When I go blog hopping, I love seeing everyone's pictures. Really helps me see that you all have lives that aren't perfect and gives us a window into your world. I'm trying to open a flikr thingy for my sidebar that will hold all my pictures for anyone who wants to see--if you know how to do it- do tell! I've been fiddling with my account for like two days and can't figure it out!

Another busy day around our house, preschool and then I taught a 2 hour card class to the kids at our local Elementary school. Whew! Glad to relax tomorrow. I did have fun the other day making these cute cards and a fun layout:

Here's my CPS card for the week. We're still having our Anniversary Celebration with LOTS of give aways, come play along and check out the blog! This week we were sponsored by three different companies, I got to use these fun stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. (Got that funky green ribbon at Micheals for $.25--I was excited!)

Have a wonderfully creative day!
