Dirty Mouth?

We were weeding the backyard tonight when Landen came toddling over to me with a big muddy grin on his face. I couldn't help but laugh, and gag, when he opened his mouth and mud came spilling out. YUCK. Boys! What do you do with them?? It would have made an excellent Orbit's commercial.

Just a little tidbit for you tonight-- random stuff on here. Hero Arts stamps, K&Co paper and tag, Micheals Ribbon, Core'dinations Cardstock, Chatterbox flower

Hope you had a relaxing day--I need to hit the couch and get my feet up before I head off to bed!

Remembering...

I think this is the first Memorial Day that I really have thought about my family who has passed on and the soldiers who have fought for my freedoms. We got the chance to work in our yard today, raking up all the rocks... still. But it was nice to not have an ipod on. Be quiet and think. I thought of my Grandfather who served in the Army. Even though he passed when I was just 6 years old, I miss him and his twinkling eyes. He had a laugh that was contagious and I still remember it just as well as when I was a child.

We had a BBQ with the family today and grilled up some yummy chicken. I even made red, white, and blue cupcakes. (Logan helped) He was happy. :)

A couple fun cards for you tonight.

Core'dinations cardstock, Hero Arts Stamps, Making Memories paper, Doodlebug Designs Brads, Micheals ribbon, Making Memories leather photocorners, Fiskars punch

Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket, and American Crafts patterned paper, Hero Arts Stamps and gems, Maya Road chipboard oval, Cosmo Cricket chipboard, Martha Stewart Twill

Have a wonderful night!

Gettin' it back!

WOW. Last night I had a wonderful creative time. It's been a long long while since I've made anything. I was so happy to make 5 cards. I'm hoping that I'll be on a creative spree now.

Hero Arts is having a Stamping Green blog week. This was such a fun challenge. We were to pick something that we would normally throw away and use it in a project. I always throw away my product packaging and thought that it might make a cute gift. Here's my take on the challenge.

Have you tried those new skittles??? YUM. Gonna have to get me the BIG bag next time! I'm a candy fanatic. Love me my sweets!

Have a wonderful friday! HOpe you get a chance to relax this weekend!

Oh, where, Oh, where...

I know, where have I been??

Just the basic, running around the house being Mommy.

Highlights of our week:
- Locking ourselves out of the house.... twice.
- Playing dress up with the kiddos.
- Hours of work trying to put in a lawn in the backyard. I HATE ROCKS!
- planted my Dalia bulbs.
- Shopping, shopping, shopping
- It hit 80 degrees. we got to use our ceiling fan. :)
- Landen finally said Mama. Only when I ignored his endless crying.
- cleaned house
-finished a book
- painted my toenails!
- shared a snack pack with my little ones

Logan discovered my long lost bin of dress up clothes that I've been saving until he was ready to play! He would drag EVERY single costume into the house and beg me to put it on him. I had a dinosaur, turtle, cowboy, magician, superhero, dumbo, graduate for a child today. And Landen did not want to miss out on all the fun. Everytime Logan got an outfit on, he would drag the red cape to me and grunt until I put it on him--so super cute!

It was really fun to take them to Walmart and Fred Meyers in their capes. Logan cried until I let him bring his magic wand as well. haha. What a sight we must have been. It's days like this that I TRULY LOVE being a mom. Super fun!

He's casting spells. His chant: "appear, appear, make this door disappear!"

Turning is brother into a super hero

Landen taking the super hero stance. Saving the world with his super chunky thighs! :)

Have a wonderful night--maybe I'll actually get some scrappin' done!

To all the mothers... Arigato!

I think we can all say that when we became mothers our appreciation for our own grows tremendously. Looking back at what a bossy, mean daughter I was, I wonder how she didn't just kick me out at the age of 5. My hubby even says I was a brat when I was a kid. Don't worry I grew out of it... now I'm an angel.... haha. I love my children with all my heart, but they sure know how to drive a mom up the wall. Thank you Thank you Thank you mom for putting up with me, nurturing a testimony of Jesus Christ in my soul, teaching me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, helping me learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others. And over all, helping me become a mother just like you-- I'll never match up! You mean the world to me mom, I hope you know it everyday.

I'm also very gratefull for the moms around the world who love and cherish their children. When I taught elementary school, I saw many parents neglect their children and toss them to the side. Seeing a mother protect, love, and play with her children is the most beautiful sight--so thank you to all of you mothers!

Here's a card for all of you:

I had a wonderful day filled with crumb cake, hot cocoa, (no dirty diapers), flowers (bulbs for my new garden), hugs, kisses, and laughter. My boys sure spoil me!

Hope you had a great day!

Rasin Bran Confetti

My children have just discovered Raisin Bran. I bought a couple boxes on a great sale over at Albertsons, I didn't think they would even want to try it. I really just got them for myself. After pouring me a bowl, they started begging for some. They like to eat their cereal without milk, I usually just give them a little cup full to walk around with. Next thing I know, they've eaten all the raisins out of it and they are throwing the flakes all around the house. I just LOVE the feeling of bran flakes sticking to my feet--yum.

At least they had some fun! :)

Well, I did get a couple layouts finished yesterday. I think I like them... not quite sure. I was glad to get a halloween layout done though, still have a lot of pictures to scrap!

ANd a layout of my handsome hubby. I never get enough pictures of him so I just repeated the same picture of him across the page. I was listening to the radio and the song Crash came on by Dave Matthews Band. Yes, he is the candy to my soul. Love ya hon!

Have a wonderful day!

Beehives and Rusty Nails

We got a call from our lender today that we needed to put our steps to the backyard back on the house. The previous owners took them off. The bank is going to have to come look at the house again, so we had to become some "do it yourself-ers" (we're not too good at it) We did find out WHY they took off the steps-- a couple of beehives underneath the boards. Luckily they are abandoned. Brandon got the task of breaking those off. The steps were so covered in rusty nails--it's a wonder I didn't step on one. But it got done. I wouldn't stand on it too long, but it's up. LOL!

Trying to get my scrapping mojo going. Seems like all the disorganization of moving sucked it all out of me. I just sit at my desk and nothing happens. THen I just give up. Maybe one of these nights I'll get a scrappy high--just maybe! I did get a couple more lifts done for NSD-- these ones are card lifts:

Kristina Werner is amazing. Her clean style always has me browsing through her 2peas gallery. I wish I could diecut like that girl does! Here's two lifts of her fabulous cards:

Happy Happy NSD!!!

Today was the 100th day since my Niece and Nephew were born and since they are 1/4 Korean, they had a HUGE celebration. Lots of Bul Go Gi! My mom makes it the best--totally brought me back to home! And no one can make fried rice like my mom-- and trust me, I try! Here's a pic of my little Niece and Nephew--aren't they cute?

This is Maddy:

Happy NSD!! I always love seeing everyone's creations and all the fun hoopla going on! I got the chance to lift a couple Garden girls and Here's the layouts I did:

Robyn Werlich is one of my favorite stamper/scrappers. She uses stamps flawlessly thoroughout her pages and they always have the softest details. I'm lucky enough to work with her over at Hero Arts--she is such an inspiration. Here's her Layout. Here's mine:
Jennifer Gallacher is such an inspiration to me in the scrapbooking world, but she also is such an inspiration spiritually. I look up to her... she is an amazing person. Here's her Layout. Isn't her little guy just the cutest?? Here's mine:

There are sooooo many Garden Girls that I look up to, so I did some card lifts too! I'll post those tomorrow! Enjoy the end of your scrappy day!
