movin' through mud.

It's just one of those days when you feel like you're working all day and NOTHING is getting done. My to-do list is still full and I'm out of breath from running around the house. grr. I think I need a break--perfect time to blog! LOL

I don't think I shared this layout on my blog yet--this one was for 2peas. I adore this picture of my Landen boy. He loves running through the grass in the summer! Hero Arts stamps, Scenic Route patterned papers, Making Memories calendar and letter stickers, Doodlebug chipboard, and a little glitter for some bling!

A sweet congrats card filled with Amy Butler papers, pearls, stamps from hero Arts, lace, button from jenni bowlin, diecuts from K&Co. and some vintage twill tape in the back.
And a baby card--I love crowns, but I don't use them much. Not sure why, but I love the mix of baby blue with the soft creams. stamps and pearls from hero Arts, papers and tickets by Melissa Frances, chipboard crown from tattered Angels, button, lace, and some machine stitching!
Thanks for stopping by today! Now off to check some things off my to-do list!!

On the fly!

I've never been great at being organized--I mean, I think my house is cleaner and more organized than most, but I'm never happy with it and it seems like we collect a lot of "stuff". So I was on the internet searching for ways to help me get more organized when I came across flylady.net. So cool. She's got a morning/night routine, then zone cleaning for the house and everything! It's set up so that cleaning doesn't have to take over our lives, and we can enjoy more time with our family! I'm all about that! So here's to my first day on the program--I'm sure there will be days that I don't do so hot, but it's a step in the right direction!
I was looking through my patterned papers the other day and came across this pink lattice one--so cute. I had to sit right down and do a page of my little niece! Pink, pink, pink! love it! Hero Arts stamps, K&Co. paper and Making Memories paper, lace, bling, pearls by Jenni Bowlin.
And a very-orangey card:
Here's to a very organized day!

a cherry on top...

I used to think that when I got married Valentine's day would be SUPER romantic-- no messes, no house work, no kiddos, just a vacation somewhere or sweet little nothings we would leave each other. hahaha. I have to say--even though that sounds FANTASTIC, I couldn't have asked for a better Valentines! We decorated the house in pink and red streamers and signs, made cute little baskets filled with candy and toys for the kids, told them we love them 100 times that day, and my family came to visit so we got to play together! We made some great sweet pulled pork tacos and ate and ate candy until we were sick! Logan gave me two BIG hugs and told me, "Today is Valentine's day--the day we tell our family we love them. I love you mommy!" what a sweetie.
so, inspired by my sweeties--here's a sweet little card with a cherry on top!

And over at Hero Arts they are having a ribbon week--go try out some of the fun ideas they have on using up your ribbon stash! Here's my card, I used my small pieces of ribbon to make some flowers:

My little captain America wishes you a Happy Valentine's!

My baby is 2!

Can 2 years really have gone by?
Landen--you are such a joy to have around. I can't imagine our little family without your funny personality! we love you so much!
My top ten FAVORITE Landen quirks:

1. He wakes up in the morning, and the first thing out of his mouth is, "Candy, mommy?"

2. when he walks his arms swing back and forth like he's running really hard. then when he does run, his legs go the same speed, but his arms go faster. haha
3. Whenever I'm doing the dishes, Logan and Landen play tag (or some form of wrestling tag) and Landen always thinks that if he hides behind my legs, Logan can't get me.

4. he LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVES his big brother--to death.
5. He's a little obsessed with movies, his favorite being Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. Which he proceeded to snap in half a week after we got it. He has unique names for each movie--and most people can't figure out what he's saying. Except for one movie. Jumanji. Like the hardest one to say--clear as a bell.
6. His famous face--the constantly surprised look. kate, Marlyce--you know what I'm talking about!
7. Instead of goodnight, he always says goodbye.

8. He's crazy--CRAZY strong.

9. He can make a basket on our hoop 90% of the time.
10. to me--my favorite thing he says is one simple word. "yea!" I can ask him any question and this is the answer.

one more...

11. his favorite game is get the bad guys. He makes some sweet gun noises!
Oh, my Landen boy, you are so utterly cute--I can't wait to see what this new year brings for you!

Loads of fun!

WOW--we have a crazy weekend ahead of us! Landen's 2nd birthday is tomorrow so on Sat. we're having a party and then Sunday is valentines day and my family is going to be in town for the weekend. PARTY! I decided at the last minute to not do my "Wild Things" party for Landen--everywhere I went to get supplies for the decorations, they didn't have ANYTHING. so frustrating. Oh, well--it will still be fun. He keeps saying his going to rip the presents open. That's the only thing he cares about!

I'm making valentines all day today--and doing another experiment with the boys. Should be a fun, relaxing day! I got a couple more layouts and cards done this week, here's some of them:
have a wonderful day!

Kung Fu Panda Tiger kicks

I got out Kung Fu Panda for Logan to watch the other day--it's been a while since we watched it last. Now he's going around the house with is tiger mask on doing the "good" tiger kicks. He even put on a kung fu display for me yesterday. I just oooohed and aaaaahed and his spectacular ability to kick the air. Oh, and don't forget the incredible slicing he did with his blade-hands. No bad guys better come over to our house! LOL He cracks me up!

Did everyone have a good superbowl? We got together with some friends--us girls sat upstairs and chatted the whole time! Love it! Couldn't beat the food either--I think I gained at least 5 lbs! But it wouldn't be the superbowl without some weight gain. haha

I've got a couple things to share today--here's a fun baby card using Making Memories paper and Hero Arts stamps--love those little elephants!

And a fun layout I made of Logan's dream last week. Crazy. Used June Bug papers on here.
Get creative today--I'm heading down to my scrap room! :)

Bwahahahaha (mad scientist laugh)

Logan got this fantastic Science experiment book from his Grandma at Christmas! We're going to try to do a couple each week--they really are so fun! And easy, so that's a plus for me! This week we made bubbling brew--you know, vinegar and baking soda. We added food coloring and lots of glitter to ours. The boys kept putting their hands in it and smelled forever like vinegar, but it's worth it! It's so fun to see them get totally excited.

Bwhahahahaha--just had to do it again!

When your kids tell it like it is

We were watching TV the other night and a Proactiv commercial came on. Logan looks at me and says, "Mommy you need that!" Thanks Logan. I have two pimples on my face. Not even that bad, but Logan apparently thinks it is. So now I'll just hide out in my house until my adult acne clears up. LOL
Here's my Core'dinations February projects--really love these new embossed papers! This is a fun picture of Logan last summer dipping in the pool with his Poppie.

And a fun little card for Valentines day:
Have a great day!
