We have a winner!!

Lucky SUSAN!! who said: At our local fair several years ago, my five-year old daughter was feeding a calf in the petting zoo area. I managed to get a shot of her wide-eyed and surprised look at the moment the calf took the food right out of her hand. I still smile when I think about that photo.

Susan-- email me (hal01015@msn.com) and I will pass your information along! :) CONGRATS!!

And here's a couple cards I've been working on lately. I'm on another huge card kick. I just love that I can make something so special for someone out of almost nothing! :) I got to use some new Hero stamps on these too--that always makes my day!

Completely random stuff on here--little bits of October Afternoon's new lines, Hero Arts, Jenni Bowlin, etc.

Thanks for stopping by!

it's me...

I promise I didn't disappear! I just simply got lazy... or busy. one of the two... or maybe a combination of the two. haha

SOoooo big news--Shimelle Laine is starting a new class this coming weekend--July 5th! And she's offering a giveaway
on my blog! we LOVE giveaways!

I fell in love with photography a couple years ago. I begged my husband for a camera over and over again. He couldn't see what was wrong with his basic point and shoot. Once I had talked him into it, he took some pictures with the new camera and he said, "Why didn't we get this a LONG time ago." We love it. I love it. I capture the small moments of my children's lives that I'm going to, one day, forget when i'm old and gray. Even looking over the pictures I took last year I can see them growing through the pictures and watch their personalities shine through the photos. So here's a couple of my favorite photos I've taken:

If you are interested in Shimelle's class check it out here.

To enter the fabulous giveaway, leave me a comment telling me about your favorite picture you ever took!!

I will post a random winner on Tuesday!

Fishy bag...

This month's theme over at the Hero blog is Summer fun and the fourth of July. I was asked to make a project to go along with the theme and I came up with these fantastic little recloseable snack bags. I sewed one up quickly out of canvas material and stamped my fish right on it. Instead of coloring it in, I stippled ink over them, layering colors to give it a watercolored look. Then I topped off my scales and bubbles with glossy accents to give them some texture. The best part about these is that I can take them on picnics, to the park, family reunions, etc, and my kids will always know which one is theirs! :)

I hope you have beautiful weather wherever you are! Enjoy some sunshine for me! And a steak too--my mouth still wont open very wide so I'm stuck with mashed potatoes, yogurt, and pancakes.

disappeared for a little while...

Thanks for the concern everyone! Sorry I've been gone for a while--went on a wonderful vaca to Seattle to see my family, then came home to get my wisdom teeth taken out. UGH! I'm horribly swollen on one side like a baboon. literally. My friend Marlyce pointed out that it's better that I have a face that looks like a baboon than a butt that looks like a baboon. I suppose she's right! LOL I'm not in too much pain cuz I'm hopped up on those fabulous pain pills!! Hopefully the swelling will go down so that I can actually talk and get back to my normal routine!

Until then.... here's some fun cards for you! ;)
