'Tis the season

To be jolly! I just love this time of year--as does everyone, I know. But making fudge in my tiny little kitchen while my homemade rolls baked in the oven was almost like heaven. Logan kept asking for a bite of the fudge before it was even done! I found the old Fantasy Fudge recipe online here. Instead of nuts, I added crushed Oreo's and I drizzled white chocolate on the top with more crushed oreos--super fun cookies and cream!! Tomorrow I'm making Rocky Road fudge, cream wafers (a family recipe),peppermint bark, and sour cream sugar cookies. Sorry to all my neighbors who now know what they are getting!! hehe We're also going to mail Logan's letter to santa at the Museum tomorrow--that is if we can get through the snow. Feels like we may never dig ourselves out of it!

I totally forgot to post these fun projects I made a couple weeks ago for the Hero Blog. We were to come up with some last minute gifts for Christmas. Here's the ornament I made:

I also made this hot cocoa holder--perfect for neighbors or teachers. Plus I always have extra cocoa packets on hand, so this is great for a last minute gift!

And here's some cards I made this week with goodies I had laying around my scrap room--gotta get this place clean!!

Have a wonderful night! Dream of sugarplums and candycanes!!

Dum dum da dum...

Just finished baking all the cakes and tomorrow I start the decorating--really fun!! I hope it all works out and looks beautiful. Ali so deserves it! We all went and got manicures together. I chose 'I'm not a waitress' red. Don't think I've EVER painted my nails red. and surprisingly, I LOVE it!! I'm soooooo going to buy this color next week!

Got a little crafting done this week--here's some fun cards! I've been trying to whittle down my scrap collection--but alas, it's still very very large. What's a girl to do---make more cards!! hehe
I hope you have a wonderful night--sweet dreams!!

'Tis the season...

to be stressed....

Well, I'm trying really hard not to be. The only thing that's stressing me is that I'm making my SIL's wedding cake for this saturday. So this should be a busy week. After saturday--I get to enjoy Christmas, especially all the fudge!! I'm done shopping for the boys and now I just need to finish up the stuff for Brandon--he's a little harder, can't make him happy with Hot Wheels!!

I was able to make a light box this weekend and that made me really happy--no more standing outside in the cold while my cards get blown away for some bad pictures of my stuff. Unfortuntely I think I'm going to have to upgrade my photoshop so it supports my RAW pictures to make them even better. If it's not one thing--it's another!! hehe I had fun making these couple Christmas cards--using up some scraps and feeling the holiday cheer!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Holidays!

Polar Express

We just got home from our preschool field trip to a local home. A retired man had his house filled with Christmas villages and trains. There was so much to see and watch--the first room was Disneyland and he had mini versions of the teacups, roller coasters, and all the characters. Logan was probably the most excited out of all the children, he kept making train noises and pointing out all the characters. He even got to leave with a candy cane in his hand--what a great morning!! Did you know they actually have a Polar Express that leaves out of Park City, UT? The kids get to ride and have hot cocoa until the end where Santa comes to meet them! How cool would that be??

I've finally had some time to make cards--and I had so much fun with this little owl by Hero Arts. Isn't she cute???

Leslie asked me to make a card for her Color Challenge week over at the Hero Blog. She always comes up with the greatest color combos--head on over and play with us and enter in for a prize!!

Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!!

Have you started one?

I've been watching everyone start their Christmas Journals with Ali Edwards this last week. I knew I wanted to do one, but couldn't come up with any ideas. Then I saw Nicole's--what an amazing girl! I tell you, everything she does inspires me!! Once I saw her sweet album, I started on mine. I decided to go with green, red, white, and black with Kraft paper accents. The pages are 6" x 12". Now, I've got to play catch up!! Here's my first page: (I don't know why it's so small!)

Cuttlebug embossing
Making Memories Patterned paper
Coredinations Cardstock

It's sixty Degrees

in our house.

Furnace is not working--I'm freezing. The only energy I had was to wrap up in a blanket, drink hot cocoa and read a book this morning. I hate cold houses!! Repair man comes tomorrow--couldn't be soon enough! Logan's loving all the cuddles and hot cocoa though! Makes for great Christmas memories, I just don't want to get frostbite!

I had fun with some old vintage pins that Brandon's grandma gave me--aren't they pretty with the Amy Butler papers. Too cute!!

Have a wonderful night!!
