Bats and Spiders
Are you ready for Halloween??? I know, I know, you've still got a month!! But, I've been figuring all my decorations out and costumes. Can't wait! Logan picked out some Frankenstein goodie bags for his lunches. He can't walk into a store without saying, "MOM, can we go find the Halloween stuff??" He loves it as much as I do!! The countdown until Oct. 1st begins (that's when Brandon lets me start decorating!!)
So to use up all my extra excitement, I've been making tons of Halloween cards, projects, etc. Here they are! ( you can find these in my Etsy shop!)
Sorry--blogger is being funny and won't let me move my pictures down!!
Have a wonderful day!

TOTALLY Unexpected...
For those of you who don't know yet... I got an email from Melanie over at Two Peas a couple days ago asking me if I'd like to join the Two Peas Garden Girls. It shocked me, I nearly passed out--doesn't help that I was in the library at the time. LOL Really, I've LOVED Two Peas for years and years. I can't even begin to describe how excited, honored, nervous, and thrilled I am to be part of the team. All of the Garden Girls are amazing and I feel totally undeserving to be on the same team as them!
I don't think I could wipe the smile off my face for 48 hours! hehe Anyways, I'm not really great with words, but I'm so excited and can't wait to start!!
Here's a couple cards I've made the past couple days!!
Thanks for letting me share my excitement!!! :)

Yes, officer??
This is me hanging my head in shame.
I got pulled over for the FIRST time in my life.
I was at a four way stop behind a HUGE line of cars that we going straight, I needed to turn right, so I went around them. Not smart when you're yelling at your two boys to stop fighting over a ballon and you have a headache--cuz then you don't notice the cop in line.
of course when the officer asked me why I did that, I told him I was a little distracted by my boys yelling in the back. He looks back and says, "well, they aren't screaming now." WELL OF COURSE NOT--you're scaring the dickens out of them! (yes, I wrote dickens--got that from my grandma.) The nerve--he must not have kids.
Couldn't find my insurance paper because Brandon just switched to a new company.
Started crying.
Logan asked me, "why is the police officer pulling us over?"
I had to respond, "Because mommy made a poor decision" Then I felt like a HORRIBLE person.
I made it out without a ticket.
Brandon asked me later (after a good laugh) if I had played the "crying" card. I said, " you think that I would cry on purpose??? Do you not know me?? I cry over anything and when you put a headache, two scared children, and can't find the right paperwork together--I'm gonna cry. "
We did make it out alive. So much for my streak. First time for everything.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and support-- we ARE switching doctors. And I will NEVER look back. LOL Logan is doing much better, although he is a little pale and his eyes are red around the edges. Still worried about him--but I'm hoping he's over the worst of it. Especially since I saw My Sister's Keeper last night--OH MY! Amazingness--but if you go to see it--bring a new box of tissues, cuz you're going to need them ALL. I bawled through the whole thing--then I was emotional all day today.
ANYWAYS--here's some fun stuff! I dug into my stash of valentines embellies and had some fun making cute red and pink cards!!
Have a great night!

Why, oh, WHY?????
I know you've heard me complain about Logan being sick a lot lately. He got sick again. He's had the flu four times and a cold in three weeks. I try not to be a panicky mother--each time he got over the illness quickly. This time he has a rash and he had a really high fever (he had been on Tylenol for a couple hours and his fever was still at 103.9)
So I took him to the doctor. I explained how sick he has been lately and expressed my worry about Swine flu and Meningitis (since he got sick with flu like symptoms after a cold) and she laughed at me and told me to stop reading on the internet. Thanks. Forgive me for being a concerned mother. It's not like I ran to them the first time he got sick and was convinced he had it. jeez. I just want to cover my bases.
He was tested for Strep and the flu and they both came back negative. Not sure what it is. His fever keeps coming back and he breaks out in a heat rash every time. If it continues tomorrow, I'm going back to the doctor--maybe a DIFFERENT doctor. Someone who cares.
You'll have to forgive my lonely blog-- with everything going on and all the worrying I've been doing, I've been a little absentminded!
On a happier note... I have my CPS card from last week for you!! We were sponsored by Sweet and Sassy stamps--cute digi images you can download and print!
Hero Arts did a fun color combination week over on their blog. I got a fun orange, black, green, and purple combo and I had fun making a Halloween card-- you know me and Halloween. Yes, I've already started buying more decor and planning our costumes! Here's my card for the challenge:
I'm going to try to post a lot more this week--some stuff I need to catch up on!
Have a wonderful night!

Fallin' into a routine
Logan started preschool a couple days ago and that's all he can talk about. It's so fun to hear him talk about his new friends, eating lunch together, playing on the playground, and the things that happen in class! I snuck a little froggy card in his lunchbox his first day--trying to be a good mommy. When I picked him up, the first thing he said was, "Next time, don't put a card in my lunch." I must have embarrassed him. Today I only wrote on his napkin. ;) Isn't he the cutest?? Watch out girls!!
I think I've mentioned Logan's friend Kinley before--his little friend that lives across the street. They have so much fun together. We went to a softball game that my hubby and Kinley's parents were playing in and I got this darling pic of them together--had to scrap it!!
Have a great day!!

We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo...
How about you, you, you??
Logan's been talking about it all morning long. It's the world's smallest zoo, but at least they have a tiger. :) I know he'll have fun though! And we have to get at least one trip in before summer is over! There's a couple other things we need to do... I better get crackin'!! My kitchen is almost done being painted--just all the details need to be finished--you, know, the fun part. LOL I'll post a picture of it when I'm done!
It's been a while since I made a layout--a long while. I made this one for Hero Arts this week and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Love the summery colors. You can find all the supplies and instructions here.

Shhhhh....
I'm quirky. Yes, quirky. I've always known it, but when I was watching my children today, I realized that they have little quirks of their own. Isn't it so cool?? They sure grow up fast and turn into their own person! Landen will run into his room, pull out a hat, and try to make you laugh by running around with it on and dancing. Logan pulls the upper part of his lip up when he says, "Yea, mom, I'm right!" (maybe he's part Elvis!)
You wanna know more about me??? Get a little personal---find out the nitty gritty?? LOL Here's some of my quirks:
-I have OCD--not the cool "I-keep-everything-clean" kind. But the kind where when my fingers get wrinkly from doing dishes or showering, I can't touch ANYTHING--not even my own skin--until they de-wrinkle. I'm also wierd about texture on my fingers--can't use wooden spoons or tear open Jello packets. I also stay up late everynight afraid my children will die in their sleep. (that one's a hard one. Can't stop being afraid.)
-I love playing dress up with my children. (If you live by me and see me running around with a superman cape on--don't worry about my sanity! :)
- I LOVE LOVE LOVE garage sales and pick up the wierdest finds. I got 200 milk glass vases for 8.00 for the lot of them. I was so happy I grinned ear to ear for two days! (now, my husband says I have to do something with them!)
-I coupon. If there is a deal out there--I will drive across town to get it!
- I put on perfume 2-3 times a day.
-If I touch one finger to another I have to touch all my other fingers. Wierd. I know. Probably another OCD thing. I have to be fair!!
-I'm a little obsessed with Halloween. (it takes me 3 days or more to decorate!)
-I eat frosting with a spoon. Especially the Rainbow Chip one.
-Okay, that's enough of me--I'm sure your are all thinking I'm crazy by now! haha BUt isn't it fun to see how unique we are and how we are all different? so cool.
I've got a couple cards to share today. Here's my CPS card for the week. We were sponsored by Jennifer Buck--independent Stampin' Up! Consultant. She is sooo amazing to send us these darling stamps!
This week their doing a masculine theme over at the Hero Arts Blog. I was asked to make a manly card using the Big Pine Bough--such a cool new stamp. You have to go over and check it out--they've got some great ideas and they even talked a couple guys into stampin' up some cards of their own!!
Have a wonderfully quirky night!!
