Getting my scrap mojo back!

Has anyone seen it?? I've been sitting here trying to get in a scrappy mood. I did come up with this little number-- found this set of boxes in my drawer that my mom got me a long time ago. Finally pulled it out. Stamps by Hero Arts, flowers by Making Memories, buttons by Hero Arts.
I had so much fun last week playing with my embossing powder--I haven't gotten it out in ages. There's a thousand ways to use it and I need to grab it more often! Here's a card I made with clear powder, Hero Arts stamps, American Crafts patterned paper.

Lastly, I got to create this fun back to school notebook for Hero Arts. You have to check out their new stamps--love these large letters.

Have a great night!

Oh what a night!

Brandon took me to a concert last night over at BYUIdaho. We're big fans of Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band. SOOOOOO good. I think I lost my voice from screaming so much, well, that and this stupid cold. Thanks to Mucinex D, I'm feeling tons better! Poor Landen had a horrible day on Thursday, he has a cold, still recovering from the ear infection, got three shots, fell off the couch, then crawled over to my paper cutter (that's supposed to be kid proof) , stuck his little finger in the hole of the blade and cut his fingernail in half. YUCK! Try sticking a bandaid on a 7 mo. old. Needless to say I found it in his mouth a couple hours later. I'm still trying not to gag.

Here's my card for the week over at CPS. Our sponsor was Scraperfect--such an amazing product. YOu can tap it on anything like fabric, acetate, acrylic, transparency, etc, and print or stamp on it without smudging! So cool. I did it on canvas fabric and love the way it looks!

Stamps by Hero Arts, cardstock by Coredinations, patterned paper and diecuts by SEI, ribbon by Making Memories.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

It's Disney time...

Two sick kiddos and a sore throat for me. Oh, fun! Looks like I'll be cuddled up in front of the TV watching some Disney flicks! Always nice to have an excuse to be lazy, although I think I'm going to gain all my weight back if I don't stop eating popsicles to make my throat feel better!

Here's my card for Sketch this this week. Really love this new pack of paper and embellies from Basic Grey-- I'm not really a BG girl. But I love this line! Stamp is from Hero Arts-- one of their new ones.

Thanks for stopping by! If you have any leftover Chicken Noodle Soup--send it my way! Hugs!

The taste of blackberries

Did you ever read that book as a child?? Totally makes me cry. When we went to Seattle a couple weeks ago, I brought back bags of wild blackberries that my mom and I picked. All together it made 7 jars of freezer jam and one YUMMY pie! They needed someone to make rolls for the ward activity tonight so I volunteered. I spent all day making them and I always love getting that first taste of a hot roll smothered in butter and blackberry jam. Even just thinking of it warms my soul. Nothing like comfort food. So I spoiled my ward members. My rolls were the first to go.. always puts a smile on my face when others like my cooking!!

Here's my card for Sketch this #64. Go check out all the DT's work, inspires me every week!

Whewwww!!

Wow, I thought getting back into the swing of things would be easier than this! Aack! Okay, so tomorrow is monday, a fresh start! We had a lovely day of being absolutely lazy at Brandon's parent's house--made taste-alike Bajio salads and lots of homemade salted nut roll. YUM! Think I gained back some weight. Speaking of which, I'm so proud to say that I have lost 25 pounds thanks to P90X. I FULLY recommend it, as it has changed my life. I am now smaller than I was in high school--what a cool feeling. I can't believe it. I still have some extra pounds to shed and I think they will be the hardest to get off, but I'm going to kick my butt doing it!! Here's a layout I did to celebrate my accomplishment:

Here's my CPS card for the week--LOVE LOVE LOVE this new line from Colorbok--or maybe it's not new, I'm just seeing it for the first time. I got the chance to go to Joann's last week in Seattle and they had the coolest stuff. That cupcake is so great!
And this is my favorite layout right now. It's my actual Epidural needle from when I had Landen. Yes, it's in a case so it can't hurt anyone, but I think it's just so cool! I couldn't believe how blunt the needle was and how the whole contraption works. This is just a page to thank my epidural for working, because with Logan it didn't work at all. Love you little needle!

What a break!

We just got back from a week long vaca in Seattle--my hometown. It was exactly what I needed - some down time. THe Seattle Aquarium has just been remodeled and we got to see all the fun fish, Logan loved the Nemo fish ( of course!) We took an Argosy Cruise around the bay, saw the new SpeedRacer IMAX at the Pacific Science Center, ate fresh fish and chips at Steamers along the pier, bought Logan a pirate gun at Ye Ole Curiosity Shop and saw the tigers at the Woodland park zoo.

My Sweet Niece- Kenzie

Here's a couple cards and a layout I made the week before and didn't get a chance to post. This first one I had fun with the Martha Stewart template for the butterfly and some glitter paper I had sitting around. Lovin' the aqua.
My CPS card for the week. Our sponsor was Inque Boutique--really really love all the stamps they have. GOtta love that rocket ship!!

Summer Rules!!

I've really been enjoying my summer this year. Logan has loved playing in the pool, going out for ice cream and hitting the baseball to daddy. I got the chance to make this fun summer album, and I LOVE the way it turned out.

Scrappy Gourmet has it on sale here. Tons of yummy Noteworthy, Pink Paislee, Tim Holtz, and all kinds of embellies. You'll really love it!

Oh, what do you do in the summertime??

This is Logan's new favorite song he learned in Nursery at church last week. He sings it with daddy all the time. I think it's so cute. We're getting ready for his big party tomorrow. I have lots of baking and cooking to do! Hopefully it will turn out great--I'll post pictures of all the fun stuff!

I finally got around to scrapping these pics of Logan playing the piano. I love the bright colors and that he has his binkie in his mouth. Reminds me of a simpler time--with only one child. Hehe!!
