what a day!

I was so nervous all morning long, seeing as how it was my first week in Primary. I did screw up a couple things--but I made it out alive and learned a couple lessons! ;) It's going to take me a little while to get to know all the kids names--hopefully not too long!

Then I got some bad news--my wonderful grandmother is in the hospital. She's been going through Chemo for Colon cancer. She had to be taken off of it because she kept fainting. Now she had Bronchitis and a blood clot in her leg. I really hope she is able to recover and come home. It breaks my heart to be so far away from them at this time. I pray she knows how much I love her and miss her. She will be in good hands at the hospital. it's just scary.

Here's my garden seeds for January... a little late posting them... check out everyone's work over at 2peas!
I hope you have a wonderful night!

The M says uhhhhhh

Logan's been trying to learn his letters. At least, I've been trying to teach him. He's not too interested. We borrowed a movie called The Letter Factory from some of our friends and he's been watching it over and over. Each time a new letter comes on he runs up the stairs and says, "mommy, I learned a new letter-- M! And it makes the sound uhhhhhh!" I don't have the heart to tell him he's TOTALLY wrong! haha! I know he'll eventually get it--I'm not too worried about him! Plus he's got the good looks and some sweet dance moves so he'll be JUST fine!

I've been crazy busy around here lately--nothing new, I guess! But this time, I've been called to be the new Primary President in our ward. Talk about scary for me. I've been in Relief Society for years and years, so it's hard to transition! But, I'm very excited to get to know all the kids--I just hope I don't screw it up too bad!
I have a couple cards for you today-- on this one, I was digging through my scrap bin and came across this cute jenni bowlin journaling tag--looks just like a house! Hero Arts stamps for the tree, grass, hearts, and HA heart gems too! Those rubons are American Crafts and the little bird is cut out of Basic Grey paper.

Modge podge--this one, I threw a bunch of random stuff on! HA butterfly stamps, Maya Road transparency, SEI diecuts.
Have a wonderful night!

a new look.

I think my blog is in desperate need of a new look. I'm soooo blog unsavvy that it's unbelievable, but I should be able to come up with something... one of these days! LOL

We had a great day--Logan's friends came over and us mom's chatted it up a bit. We made it through with only a couple smacks on the head and two tantrums--- the kids, not the moms! hehe Logan even did a little dance session for my friend Kate, he is really good at breakdancing. I really need to video tape it! hilarious. Kate asked where he learned his moves... from me of course! ;)
A couple cards to share with you today before I run off to work on my new curtains.

Have a wonderful night!

Midnight munchies...

So I'm learning that I should never watch Diners, Drive-in's and Dives before bed--major cravings! Need me a giant cheeseburger right now! But off to bed I go... :(

Here's a layout for you--love this pic of Logan and Brandon. They love each other so much! I used all kinds of boyish stuff on here, stars, blues, oranges, metal, chains, etc.

I didn't get much scrapping done today, more organizing than anything. fun. I hope I'll get some time tomorrow to scrap!

First post of 2010...

Only 7 days late! LOL

We've been pretty busy around here lately trying to get back into a routine of some sort. Brandon and I started P90X again--and my whole body hurts! But it's a good kind of pain. We're decorating the house, slowly, and trying to stay out of the 10" of snow we have outside! Plus, it's -12 degrees out today, so looks like my plans for sledding are out of the question! Maybe tomorrow! So for today, I'm cleaning, organizing, hanging pictures, painting, scraping, and playing dominoes with Logan! Maybe I won't even change out of my pjs! hehe
I got to dive into my yummy Core'dinations cardstock this month and I came up with these layouts-- really love the one of logan!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Thursday! :)

Sigh.

I hate it when Christmas is over. I. hate. it.
( is it just me, or does Landen seriously look like Macaulay Culkin in this pic???)
We had a magical Christmas this year-- Logan was so excited to see what Santa brought him! He got everything he asked for (good thing they were all cheap! Or Santa would have been in TROUBLE!) Even Landen got a kick out of Santa this year. When we saw the cookie plate empty, he went on and on for 30 minutes saying, "Santa's cookies all gone!" Over and over... haha!!

I hate getting sad about it. I broke down on Christmas night and bawled a little bit-- every year is just one year closer to them not believing anymore--then that magic and excitement is gone. I had to take a deep breath--then I sat in my living room and thought about every detail of that morning that I want to remember! It really made me feel better--so if you're like me--take some time to jot down some memories, it helps! Now on to New Years..... anyone else back on a diet???? LOL

Not sure if I shared these cards yet or not-- maybe soon I'll get back into that creative mood! Seems it's been zapped out of me--and I gotta get it back before my deadlines come and go!

have a wonderful night!

Brown paper packages...

I have to say, out of all my wrapping paper, I use my roll of kraft the most! Perfect tied up with string--just like the song! imagine that! LOL They look so pretty! Sorry I haven't been around much--I've been so domestic! We've been trying to do something each day. Today, Logan and I cut out some gingerbread men from salt dough--I'll show you that project tomorrow! You'll all be running to your store for salt to make a bunch!
