Quiet whisperings...

Logan has hit the age where he can pretend and play on his own. I've found him whispering to himself a couple times these past few days and it cracks me up. I recorded Underdog for him a couple weeks ago and now I catch him whispering, "Never fear, UnderLogan is here!" hehe. And we were in the car heading to preschool the other day and we passed some wheat fields. I heard him whisper,"If I were a police man, I'd be a farmer and then I'd be a scarecrow and I'd say to the crows," no don't eat that, yes eat that, no don't eat that! yea, that's what I'd say" And then he giggled to himself. so funny. I'm that crazy mom who puts her ear up to the door when he's in the bathroom because he talks to himself and it is sooo darn cute!

Look at me--making something for fun!! Just for the heck of it! haha, I had a full out creative session with my paper and goodies yesterday. I'm usually making something for one deadline or another, but these were for fun!
I made that flower out of fabric, I'm making a LARGE one next week and I'll post the tutorial link and everything! THey're so easy to make!

Glitter, glitter, glitter--isn't it perfect! I love how glitter seems to make everything better! :)

And this one is inspired by the talented Mrs. Danielle Flanders! She's amazing! If you haven't seen her blog, you HAVE to check it out!

More glitter.... lol.

I'm off to clean up my scrap room for another fun cardmaking session! :)
have a wonderful day!

Way, WAY, too much candy!

Stop the madness!!!!!!

Is anyone, ANYONE, having the same problem as I am?? I can't stay out of my children's Halloween candy! Everynight I go to bed thinking, "I'm not going to overstuff myself on candy tomorrow. Think about how you feel right now. Don't do that to yourself tomorrow!" And then I wake up, eat a healthy breakfast and reward myself with a HERSHEY's bar!!! I literally don't think I can stop until it's all gone--so I better just go polish it off right now! LOL

Here's my Twopeas projects for the month of November.

This is my son's sweet friend Kinley--isn't she a doll??? I took this pictures of her and just HAD to scrap them!

Have a great night!

Bad Blogger award.

goes to me.

Yep, I admit it, I'm a horrid blogger. I try. I think about it everyday. And then the day gets away from me.

I've been going through some personal stuff... hopefully it will all be behind me soon. :)

On a much funner note... you HAVE to see these pics of us from Halloween! Hilarious.

( I was going to title this post 'oh, yes, it's 80's night') sweet huh?

Yep, that's me--even made those leg warmers myself. I might have to come up with an excuse to wear them again!!

And do I even need to say how AWESOME Brandon's outfit is????? He found that Member's Only jacket at DI. It cost $6-- I told him he could buy it only if he promised to have it replace his other jacket. LOL He hasn't followed through yet! And that mullet wig-- is there even anything to say??? NO one recognized him at the party.

Here's Logan as a SCARY vampire. I made the costume myself. He had fun wearing it around the house for days. His favorite thing about being a vampire is saying, "I Vant to suck your blood" to everyone. They all get a kick out of it. I even sprayed his hair black-- turned out so fun, but when it came time to wash it out, I couldn't BELIEVE how long it took to get back to normal. Our bathtub is black.

And this is the only picture I could get of Landen boy. He would NOT turn around for me to take a picture!! Cut dino.

Couldn't resist putting the mullet wig on Landen. Bwahahahahahaha.... isn't it soooo Joe Dirt??

Hope you had a wonderful Halloween!

A bill of health...

does anyone have a good one anymore??

We sure don't. My goodness, it seems like I'm always complaining about one sickness or another. Last week I got strep. THE WORST. man, I was in bed for days! Couldn't even talk. But now that I'm feeling better and I'm off my pain killers (which made me a little loopy) I'm a walking, talking human being again! I have sooo much to catch up on though, it wears me out just thinking about it! ;)

So here's a pic of my living room/dining room that I painted blue and I added those IKEA floating shelves. All the flowers are from my garden earlier this month.

It's Fall Stamp Camp this month over at 2Peas and I got to host week 3! We're stamping on chipboard--I already love love love the kraft color of the chipboard, so I just stamped over it! You know me and Kraft... LOL Go check everything out HERE and come play along--you may win a prize!! :)
Off to catch up on some more stuff!! Have a wonderful day!

Sweet and Sassy

Funny how little boys go from being so sweet to being sassy.

I saw Logan sit next to Landen on the couch to watch some cartoons, then he planted a big kiss on Landen's cheek. Landen turned and gave him a big ole' grin. So cute... so sweet. One minute later, Landen was "crowding" him on the couch and WACK! he hits him across the head. Sheesh.... where do these mood swings come from at 4??? And he's not even a girl!!

Found me some vintage doiles this summer at a garage sale and had to try them out--love the look paired with the K&Co. keys. (Hero Arts ink, stamps, flowers- K&Co. key, journaling tag, flowers--Melissa frances paper and pearls--Amy Butler paper)

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great night!

Belated

I always, ALWAYS miss National Cardmaking Day. It lands on a saturday every year and we're constantly busy! THen of course, I start looking at everyone's blogs and seeing their darling cards and then I get all mad that I missed out! so...

Happy Belated Cardmaking Day!! YAYYYY!!!

My little guy took an extra long nap today so I got a chance to make some stuff-- that always makes me smile. Seems like I haven't had a chance to create in a LONG time--even though it's only been a few days! LOL

I have a couple Core'dinations projects for the month to share-- if you haven't tried their new Jenni Bowlin papers, you really need too--such cool stuff!!

Hugs and kisses,

Olive Branch and Bridgewater

Two of the colors I painted in my new basement today. YAY! Just a couple more days until our carpet is installed and we can offically "move in" LOL

My scraproom is a pale shade of yellow and the boys playroom with olive colored. We're doing two shades of gray in the family room. It's amazing how fast paint can change a room! Decorating is never done though--after all the painting and moving in, I still need to buy a lights for the rooms, make curtains, hang pictures, build shelves... will it ever be done?? I'm just afraid that I'll finally get it done and it will go out of style. I tried not to go with a "trendy" look--but you never know if you'll hate it all in a couple years.

So, to play catch up... here's some of my work from this past week:

Here's a fun baby layout with my little niece Jalie for the Hero Arts blog. It amazes me how their stamps can go from cards to layouts so beautifully!!

My FIRST TwoPeas project--our theme for the month of October is Typography. That was a tough one for me, I chose to go with a dictionary page.

ANd just a fun halloween card
Last week we were sponsored by Inky Antics over at CPS. Look at that darling frog!! I'll be using this one for my neighbors cards!

Have a wonderful night!
