Catchin up!

Here's a couple more Layouts. The Peeps one is an Effer Dare. the Each Moment Layout has my new favorite embellishments on it here's where you can get it : http://store.scrapgirls.com/product.php?id=8750&cat=38

It's a digital kit. I just print them out and cut them out! I adore them! Thanks for peeking! Oh, and I've been tagged by Iralamija ( http://iralamija.blogspot.com/ ). So, here's my 7 things.

1.) My mom was on Wheel of Fortune when I was 7 so I got to meet Vanna White. (My mom won!)
2.) I can fit my whole fist in my mouth... yea, kinda embarassing!

3.) I have to have a glass of Hot Chocolate everyday. (Mint Truffle is my favorite)

4.) In high school, I was involved with DECA. I made it to the National Competition in California where I took 10th in the Nation.

5.) I love garage sales. There's just something about getting a huge bucket of buttons for $.50. Plus it gives me time to spend with my mother. (she's obsessed!)

6.)Someday I want to have a peach orchard. yum... peach pie!

7.) If I have money to spend I usually buy scrapbooking products not clothes.

Life is so fragile

Last Saturday we got a disturbing phone call from my father in law. He broke us the news that Brandon's Aunt had been killed in a car accident. We drove down to Utah the next day for the funeral. Why does it take something so tragic to make you evaluate your life and how you are living? Why don't I live everyday to it's fullest? I get too comfortable with my surroundings and with my family that I often take forget how truly lucky I am.

Aunt Janet was killed Saturday morning at 12 AM. She left behind her young son. This is the most unfortunate part of the whole thing. That her son will live the rest of his life without her. His best friend is gone. The two of them spent every day together and now he is left to face the trials of this life without her. He is one lucky boy though in that he has the most loving grandparents and uncles and aunts surrounding him. He will not be alone. He will not be neglected.

I know that she is watching over him and holding his hand as he grieves and moves on. She will continually walk by his side as he graduates from High school, gets married, has children, and so on. She was very special and will be dearly missed. We can not wait for the day when we will all be reunited.

So for now, I will take time out of my day to write in my journal expressing my love for my children and husband. I will take the time to enjoy every moment: My son screaming in his crib when he wakes up, the hug my husband gives me the second he walks in the door, snotty noses, pudgy fingers, watching my husband shave and so on.

On a scrapbooking Mission

I just got the fun My Minds Eye pad of paper and some of the Thickers from American Crafts and It's put me in a whirlwind of scrapbooking. I can't even sleep at night thinking of all the fun pages I can do. I love it when this happens!! That pad of paper is so awesome because it all coordinates with each other. I don't have to go out and buy anything! I'm so tempted to buy another one, but do I really need that much paper...... uhhh, YES!!

Sketch This #10

Here's my take on the Sketch This Sketch. (that's a mouthful!) These pics are of my son at the park last friday. It was our first shorts day of the year. My poor son is cooped up in a small apartment all day and went crazy when we let him out in the park. He finally go to play ball with daddy. We had so much fun. A lazy picnic under the trees and a walk around the most beautiful neighborhood I've ever seen. We were in Dupont, WA and the houses are so pretty there. It's like a pleasantville. All the lawns are manicured and the stores all look the same. Well, we sure enjoyed our time in the sun. And thank goodness because we have another week of 40's and 50's. I WANT SUMMER!!

Only my husband...

Yes, only my husband would be creative enough to make grilled cheese sandwiches in the waffle maker. I could only laugh when he brought them to the table. That's what I get for having him make dinner! It still tasted good!!

CPS Sketch for the week!

Here's my take on the sketch with a very important message: DONT RUN WITH SCISSORS! How many times my mother said that (and how many times I didn't listen.) Now that I'm a mom, I think I'll be shouting that at my son soon. Anyways, Memory Boutique here with Fiskars stamps, HS journaling stamps, slik flower, and mom quote. Thanks for peeking!
