Taking a time out today..

I've been rushing to meet a few deadlines the past couple days so today I get to just relax!! I'm taking the boys to the zoo today and I think they're going to have a blast. Gotta love a pinic and a day filled with monkeys. I'm excited for Logan to see the Tiger, he's totally into them right now. He scares Landen all the time by growling in his face like a Tiger. BOYS! what can you do?

Here's my latest card for Sketch This! Come play along we love to have you!! I used Dream Street papers, felt by Fancypants, chipboard by Making Memories, Stamps by Hero Arts, ink by Memories, Cardstock by Coredinations.

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs to you all!

Sweet thank you

I'm just in love with these sweet papers by Cosmo Cricket. They would make great baby shower thank you cards. I wish I was having a little girl... I'll have to live with all boys until then!!

Block party

We just had a block party last night- so much fun. The kids danced and we had amazing food. Gotta love homemade root beer. YUM! Thoroughly enjoyed the nice weather with a couple breezes now and again. Got some scrappin' done while my boys were napping. These layouts were made with Cosmo Crickets Twist and Shout line and Honey Pie diecuts.

Lemon Berry Squeeze

My new favorite flavor of Hawaiian Punch. YUM! I get it sugar free and it's amazing. I got to spend the day with my little guys running through the sprinkler. Well, I more or less watched while holding a fussy baby. Landen just does not want to be put down. We had a fun day filled with popsicles and Koolaid. Wish everyday could be this sunny and warm.

Here's my card for the CPS blog this week. Tami does such a great job with her sketches. Cardstock by Coredinations, Paper by Making Memories, stamps by Hero Arts, felt by Fancypants.

Lovin the giant swirls on this one! Janelle has a wonderful sketch over at Sketch this! A lot of this stuff was OLD in my stash. Had fun digging through my scraps. Gems and stamps by Hero Arts, cardstock by Coredinations

Hope you got to enjoy some sun today!! Thanks for stopping by!

F is for Family

Thank goodness for father's day. I love letting Brandon know how much he means to me and to the boys. I spoiled him rotten! and I loved every second of it! He said he wanted some finger desserts for fathers day so we picked out some recipes to try and man were they good. If you like Girl Scout Samoa cookies, here's the taste alike. (oh, and line your pan with foil, they're hard to get out of the pan.)

Here's a fun card I made last week, those circle cards are a challenge for me, but I LOVE the way they look! Thanks for peeking!

I really am...

It seems like I haven't been posting very much lately, but I just haven't had much to show since I've been doing some work for Coredinations Cardstock. TOp secret. He he, I'll show ya my stuff when i get the okay. Here's a couple of layouts I did this past week, the first one is of my little Logan. He said to me: "mommy, I'm a scary kissing tiger and these are my scary claws to scratch with." Then he made that face. Had to take a pic. The second one is of my pinkie toe. Yea, my ugly pinkie toe. I have no toenail on either foot. I got that from my mom. Just a way to remind myself... in case I ever forget... yea, right!! Have a great night!

They are coming out with their new Summer catalog, I can't wait to see what new stuff they've got!! Check out their blog also for some fun stamping inspiration!

Lilacs and Vintage wrapping paper

Scored some fabulous vintage wrapping paper on Saturday at a local garage sale. a HUGE roll for $1.50. It's bright pink with silver stars, my SIL's all better get used to it, all their presents are going to be pink!! That made me happy! our lilacs are at the end of their blooming period. I love lilacs and I filled my house with vases and vases of them. SO pretty. I hate seeing them go.

Here's a couple of cards I made using my scrap stash. That pile just keeps getting bigger, better make some cards with it!! Have a great day!

Hugged my boys a little tighter than usual.

I recently got an email from a friend letting me know her baby girl had been born and passed away two days later. I was so heartsick for her. Really took me by surprise and I pray for her everyday to get through this rough time. Woke up this morning and gave my boys a big hug. I really am truly grateful for this time I've been given with them.

On a lighter note, here's a fun card I made for the Sketch This site. Finally got out my rubons and used one. I have the hardest time playing with those. Gonna have to break them out more often. Come play along and check out the site they have wonderful card and layout ideas!

Have a wonderful day!

Lilacs and popcicles!

We had a rough week of rain the past week, so it was nice to finally get some sun around here this weekend. My lilacs are blooming like crazy. We have three light purple, two white and one dark purple. I've been making bouqets for every room in the house. I love walking in and smelling them all over. They only last for a couple weeks so it's nice to really enjoy them! We finally got a package of popsicles, the kind with the rootbeer ones. Those are my favorite! Eating one right now, he he.

Little late posting this, but here's my CPS take for the week. The circle was a hard challenge for me, but I love the way it turned out! Thanks for stopping by!
