'Tis the season

To be jolly! I just love this time of year--as does everyone, I know. But making fudge in my tiny little kitchen while my homemade rolls baked in the oven was almost like heaven. Logan kept asking for a bite of the fudge before it was even done! I found the old Fantasy Fudge recipe online here. Instead of nuts, I added crushed Oreo's and I drizzled white chocolate on the top with more crushed oreos--super fun cookies and cream!! Tomorrow I'm making Rocky Road fudge, cream wafers (a family recipe),peppermint bark, and sour cream sugar cookies. Sorry to all my neighbors who now know what they are getting!! hehe We're also going to mail Logan's letter to santa at the Museum tomorrow--that is if we can get through the snow. Feels like we may never dig ourselves out of it!

I totally forgot to post these fun projects I made a couple weeks ago for the Hero Blog. We were to come up with some last minute gifts for Christmas. Here's the ornament I made:

I also made this hot cocoa holder--perfect for neighbors or teachers. Plus I always have extra cocoa packets on hand, so this is great for a last minute gift!

And here's some cards I made this week with goodies I had laying around my scrap room--gotta get this place clean!!

Have a wonderful night! Dream of sugarplums and candycanes!!

Dum dum da dum...

Just finished baking all the cakes and tomorrow I start the decorating--really fun!! I hope it all works out and looks beautiful. Ali so deserves it! We all went and got manicures together. I chose 'I'm not a waitress' red. Don't think I've EVER painted my nails red. and surprisingly, I LOVE it!! I'm soooooo going to buy this color next week!

Got a little crafting done this week--here's some fun cards! I've been trying to whittle down my scrap collection--but alas, it's still very very large. What's a girl to do---make more cards!! hehe
I hope you have a wonderful night--sweet dreams!!

'Tis the season...

to be stressed....

Well, I'm trying really hard not to be. The only thing that's stressing me is that I'm making my SIL's wedding cake for this saturday. So this should be a busy week. After saturday--I get to enjoy Christmas, especially all the fudge!! I'm done shopping for the boys and now I just need to finish up the stuff for Brandon--he's a little harder, can't make him happy with Hot Wheels!!

I was able to make a light box this weekend and that made me really happy--no more standing outside in the cold while my cards get blown away for some bad pictures of my stuff. Unfortuntely I think I'm going to have to upgrade my photoshop so it supports my RAW pictures to make them even better. If it's not one thing--it's another!! hehe I had fun making these couple Christmas cards--using up some scraps and feeling the holiday cheer!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Holidays!

Polar Express

We just got home from our preschool field trip to a local home. A retired man had his house filled with Christmas villages and trains. There was so much to see and watch--the first room was Disneyland and he had mini versions of the teacups, roller coasters, and all the characters. Logan was probably the most excited out of all the children, he kept making train noises and pointing out all the characters. He even got to leave with a candy cane in his hand--what a great morning!! Did you know they actually have a Polar Express that leaves out of Park City, UT? The kids get to ride and have hot cocoa until the end where Santa comes to meet them! How cool would that be??

I've finally had some time to make cards--and I had so much fun with this little owl by Hero Arts. Isn't she cute???

Leslie asked me to make a card for her Color Challenge week over at the Hero Blog. She always comes up with the greatest color combos--head on over and play with us and enter in for a prize!!

Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!!

Have you started one?

I've been watching everyone start their Christmas Journals with Ali Edwards this last week. I knew I wanted to do one, but couldn't come up with any ideas. Then I saw Nicole's--what an amazing girl! I tell you, everything she does inspires me!! Once I saw her sweet album, I started on mine. I decided to go with green, red, white, and black with Kraft paper accents. The pages are 6" x 12". Now, I've got to play catch up!! Here's my first page: (I don't know why it's so small!)

Cuttlebug embossing
Making Memories Patterned paper
Coredinations Cardstock

It's sixty Degrees

in our house.

Furnace is not working--I'm freezing. The only energy I had was to wrap up in a blanket, drink hot cocoa and read a book this morning. I hate cold houses!! Repair man comes tomorrow--couldn't be soon enough! Logan's loving all the cuddles and hot cocoa though! Makes for great Christmas memories, I just don't want to get frostbite!

I had fun with some old vintage pins that Brandon's grandma gave me--aren't they pretty with the Amy Butler papers. Too cute!!

Have a wonderful night!!

Pie Madness

I'm getting ready for the big day--they put me in charge of the rolls, jello salad, yams, and four pies! YUM! I'm making Banana Cream, Lemon Meringue, Pumpkin Cheesecake pie, and Chocolate pudding pie (requested by my hubby). Can't wait to gain 10 lbs! hehe

So focusing on how grateful I am, I made this layout about a day Logan and I went out to look for leaves in the backyard a couple years ago. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful boys. I am truly blessed.

Have a great night!

A trip to the library!

Who knew you could end the boredom of a day with a trip to the library? We've been stuck in the house all day and decided a trip to the library with Lynne (my SIL) would be just the ticket! Logan's been talking about it all day--he's going to check out his first book ever. This should be fun!

Finally printed off some of our Halloween pictures and got a couple scrapped last night--love that new Cosmo Cricket line, too spooky! Cardstock by Coredinations, paper by Cosmo Cricket, stamps by Hero Arts, diecuts by Making Memories, lace cardstock by KI memories, stickers by American Crafts, ribbon by Joanns, photocorners by 3L.

Have a wonderful day!!

Peppermint Crunch

Have you tried these new Junior Mints??? YUM!! Very festive too--just finished off the box. Have to grab all the peppermint goodies this time of year!

I'm so excited, my husband told me that he thought our "family" present this year should be a KITCHENAID--oh, yea!! I've been wanting one for 6 years!! So the one I want has to be custom ordered because of the color. I'm headed off to Bed Bath and Beyond tonight to get it done--should be here in two weeks, luckily they have free shipping right now for the holidays!! My family better be ready to eat cookies all season long!! Here's the one I'm getting:

I'm so loving the red, pink and green Christmas combo right now. Not necessarily for my house, but for my scrapbooking!! Here's a fun little card for you--

Have a wonderful day!

It never works out...

exactly like I picture it!! I had a Twilight party tonight--an excuse for "the girls" to come over and eat!! I got a chocolate fountain and everything. Worked all day on getting the house clean, preparing the food, etc. Then the fountain just wouldn't work right. UGH! Of course after everyone leaves, Brandon turns it off and then on again and it works like a charm. That's just the way things go for me. At least we had some fun!!

I've been gone a couple days this week (we went on a quick trip to Utah for Brandon's job) and so I haven't had much time to create, but I have a couple things for you...

I made this layout for the Hero Arts Site--doesn't she look beautiful???? I got to take my SIL's bridal pictures and LOVED this one!!

Here's my CPS card for the week. We were sponsored by KandiCorp and I fell in love with these vintage christmas stamps. Aren't those kids so cute??

And something I've been so excited about--yes, that's me on the cover of the Nov. CARDS issue!! They sent me a ton of copies and Brandon had to put one on display in our home. My family all got copies, they were way excited!!
Thanks for letting me brag--hehe!!
Have a wonderful night!

What to do?

I was reading my friend Melissa's blog the other day and she mentioned that her sewing machine stopped working. I felt bad for her, I thought--man, if mine ever died I'd be so upset because I use mine more than I use any other tool in my house. Then Landen came along and pulled it off the table--it is smashed and doesn't turn on. (he's totally okay--didn't even come close to him) So now I'm in the same boat as Melissa!! Yes, you should feel bad for us!!

But here's some fun Fall cards using my sewing machine before today's disaster. I used the November Addicted Scrappers Card Kit--love the fall colors and all the diecuts that come in this kit. It was so easy to come up with multiple designs!

Making Memories

My family got to come and see us this past weekend and we had so much fun eating out and playing games. It's always too short a trip--but I'm so happy that they got to come. I hope it's not long before we see them again. It's hard on my parents to be so far away from the boys. They grow so fast.

So I haven't had much time to create with them visiting, but here's some fun cards I came up with.

My CPS card for the week. Kinda fun to not have a sponsor this week--got to play around!!
Scenic Route and We Are Memory Keepers papers, Rusty Pickle sticker, Hero Arts Stamps, ink, and gems, Prima flower, Making Memories brads, other: jute, button, corner rounder, dictionary page

Here's a page I did of my nephew when he was so tiny--no longer small. He's bigger than my 3 year old!!
Paper by MOD, cardstock by Coredinations, stamps by Hero Arts, buttons and pearls by Hero Arts, pins by Heidi Grace, chipboard word by Maya Road, other: pen, linen string, brads

I got to create a travel page for the Hero Arts site. I found this picture of our trip to Deception Pass in WA a couple years back---soooooooo gorgeous!! Thought I ought to scrap it!! Glad I did, I think it turned out nice! All Hero products except the patterned paper (cosmo cricket) and the cardstock (Coredinations)

Now to finish off my package of Skittles and tuck myself in for the night!!

Oh what a night!

Man, has it really been a week since I last posted? WOW, I need to be better! The boys haven't been taking naps lately so it's been hard to get some scrappy time in-- I've been staying up WAY past my bedtime. Then Landen has been waking me up at 6:30 am, so all in all I'm getting like 6 hours of sleep, but it's worth it for the hobby I love!!

Here's a couple things I've made this past week:

I made this fun thanksgiving table setting over at Hero Arts--You have to go there to see the rest of the set! I fell in love with it and was tempted to do my whole table in it, then realized how much work it would be!!

My CPS card for the week. We were sponsored by Starving Artistamps--go check them out, they have some DARLING stamps!!

Here's a fun layout I did on me--my obsessive worrying!

This one's an old picture of Logan and me, but I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!! I'm off to bed!

Deep breath

The house is clean. I can breathe. I can't believe how much stress it causes me to live in a dirty house. The last couple days we've been running around so crazy, we haven't had a chance to clean up--man, it feels good! Although my scrap room could use a good once over!!

We had fun at our church Trunk or Treat last night--Logan got a bunch of candy and he's been begging me for all day. Mom and dad have had their fair share of it too!! hehe

Here's some fun cards for today. Jennifer asked me to make a card for the mini card blog week over at Hero. I came up with this little number--it's 4"-- perfect for a little halloween goodie plate! I LOVE looking at all the artist's mini cards--gonna have to make me some like Shari's!!

This one's for the CPS blog this week, we were sponsored by Unity Stamps. So cute.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater

We just got back from the pumpkin patch and had some fun carving them at my in-laws. Logan surprisingly loved sticking his hands into the pumpkin guts. He was a MESS when he got done, but loved every second of it. Even ended up breaking the pumpkin by the end of it all!! We made this amazing recipe and I can't stay out of it! YUM!!

Brandon got some great pictures. Here's one of me and the boys--aren't they adorable??

I totally forgot to post my cards for last week. This one is for CPS. We were sponsored by KandiCorp and they sent us these AMAZING brass embellishments to play with--so cute!!

Here's the card I made for Sketch this last week. I had fun with some new diecuts I got.

Here's my card for CPS last week. Totally still in the Halloween mood. Logan totally made my day by saying his favorite holiday is Halloween!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!
